Senate Legislation: Foreign Policy

Iraq

S.J.Res. 3 - Sen. Dianne Feinstein [D-CA]
A joint resolution to specify an expiration date for the authorization of use of military force under the Authorization for Use of Military Force Against Iraq Resolution of 2002 and to authorize the continuing presence of United States forces in Iraq after that date for certain military operations and activities.

Iran

S.Con.Res. 13 - Sen. Bernard Sanders [I-VT]
A concurrent resolution expressing the sense of Congress that the President should not initiate military action against Iran without first obtaining authorization from Congress.

Middle East

S.Res. 85 - Sen. Frank Lautenberg [D-NJ]
A resolution expressing the sense of the Senate regarding the creation of refugee populations in the Middle East, North Africa, and the Persian Gulf region as a result of human rights violations.

Trade

S.Con.Res. 11 - Sen. Russell Feingold [D-WI]
A concurrent resolution providing that any agreement relating to trade and investment that is negotiated by the executive branch with another country comply with certain minimum standards.

Military

S.Res. 82 - Sen. Charles Hagel [R-NE]
A resolution designating August 16, 2007 as "National Airborne Day".
